Diplomacy in War: Roles and Functions of an Ambassador
Ukrainian Heritage Studies Museum at Manor College and Via Zoom| Apr. 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Our “Ukraine Dialogue – Diplomacy in War: Roles and Functions of an Ambassador” program features two ambassadors and a retired colonel who have all been intimately involved in various aspects of Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified war against Ukraine. From humanitarian efforts to strategic, these featured panelists have had to lead and manage through the greatest crisis of all, the loss and injury to human life at a large scale, and the protection of a homeland that not only needs preservation due to international norms on self governance and self defense, but because of its representative and symbolic purposes as a westernized democracy on the edge of eastern Europe and abutting a tyrannical, power thirsty neighbor.

Featured Panelists
Ambassador Oksana Markarova: Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the USA, Permanent Observer of Ukraine to the Organization of American States (via zoom)

Colonel (ret) Robert J. DeSousa: Counsel, Eckert Seamans, Attorneys at Law, former State Director for US Sen. Pat Toomey and Retired Army Judge Advocate
